Norfolk's position, jutting out into the North Sea offers an ideal stop-off point or winter home for hundreds of thousands of migrating birds heading south from Scandinavia and the Arctic Circle. In early spring as the winter migrants head for their breeding grounds to the north, Norfolk welcomes the summer breeders.

Winter Visitors
Look up between October and April to see skeins of pink-footed geese who visit North Norfolk in their hundreds of thousands from their breeding grounds in Greenland and Iceland.
